HAMMOND, Ind. – After breaking the 8K-school record over the weekend at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, freshman Michael Crook (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) received GLIAC second team all-conference honors.
Crook finished with a time of 25:55.3, which landed him in 20th place for the event in the final race of the season.
“I thought Michael executed the race plan very well which led to such a strong race,” head coach Austin Warner said about Crook’s best race of the season.
“Michael rose to the occasion when his team needed him and I am proud of his effort on Saturday.”
The Pride completed its season Saturday afternoon at the GLIAC championships with a ninth place finish.
