Baseball Hosts SVSU For Four Game Set This Weekend

HAMMOND, Ind. & WESTVILLE, Ind. -- The Purdue University Northwest baseball team looks to bounce back from the previous weekend as the Pride host Saginaw Valley State for a four-game Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series starting on Thursday that runs to Saturday.

SERIES SCHEDULE
Thursday, April 18 --
SVSU vs PNW (1-9 inning game): 3 p.m. CT.
Friday, April 19 -- SVSU vs PNW (2-7 inning games): 12 p.m. CT.
Saturday, April 20 -- SVSU vs PNW (1-9 inning game): 12 p.m. CT.

LAST TIME OUT
The Purdue University Northwest baseball teams dropped their final two games of the series against Davenport in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader on Saturday. The Panthers won the first game 13-0, before capturing the second, 18-9, at Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
SVSU is coming off a 14-13 loss against on April 16. The Cardinals are led by Jordan Swiss, who is hitting .339, 43 hits, nine doubles, two triples, a home run and 25 RBI. 

SERIES HISTORY
PNW leads the all-time series 3-0 as the Pride swept the Cardinals last season at Dowling Park, however, SVSU was the home team with the games being moved from University Center, Michigan.
