Women's Golf Competes in GLIAC Championship first round

Barrington, Ill.-- The PNW women's golf team finished the first round of the GLIAC Championship in 10th place after shooting a team total of 354 (+66) as a group. Sophomore Libby Huston (Yale, Mich./Yale) was the top performer for the Pride after round one, as she ended up with a 84 (+12) to finish in a tie for 31th place out of 50 golfers.

Junior Lauren Bailey (Wanatah, Ind./Lacrosse) was next up for the Pride scoring a 87 (+15) after the first round finding herself tied for 38th place.

Sophomore Sydney Valiska (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West) ended the round in 45th place shooting a 91 (+19) after round one. Junior Meaghan Spalla (Crown Point, Ind./Boone Grove) was right behind Valiska in 46th place with a score of 92 (+20)

Sophomore Candance Chandler (Middletown, Ind./Shenandoah) finished the round in 49th place as she shot for 95 (+23) to start off the weekend. 

The Pride bounce back Saturday, April 20 as PNW gets set for round two of theGreat Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference  Championships.
