HAMMOND, Ind. & WESTVILLE, Ind. -- Purdue University Northwest Ice Hockey Head Coach Kevin Cole has announced the addition of two more players to his recruiting class with the signing of Jack Murphy and Jack Sarzynski.
Murphy, who will join the Pride in the fall comes to PNW from Munster, where he played hockey for four years. Murphy led the Mustangs to three semifinalists appearances. As a junior, he recorded four goals and 19 assists and while as a senior, Murphy recorded seven goals and 13 assists.
"I’m excited to get back on the ice and to continue my academic and athletic career at PNW," Murphy said.
Sarzynski played 41 games for Munster High School, scoring 43 goals, assisted 20 shots and recorded 63 points. He also played for the Midwest Blackbirds but his season was cut short by injury after playing in eight games, scoring four goals and assisted on five others.
"I'm excited to continue my playing career and education at PNW and look forward to helping start a new program next season," Sarzynski said.
PNW Men's Ice Hockey begins their first season of competition in the American Collegiate Hockey Association this fall.
