GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Freshman Michael Crook (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) broke the school record for the 8K race with his run at the Gainey Athletics Complex for the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships. Crook ran a 25:55.3 which landed him in 20th place for the event.

NEW BOSTON, Mich. -- The Purdue Northwest men's cross country team finished third Saturday in the inaugural Warrior Challenge, hosted by Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) foe Wayne State at Willow Metro Park. Freshman Antonio Chapa (Portage, Ind./Portage) was the high finisher for the Pride, as he finished with a 26:19, good enough for tenth. Wayne State captured the individual title in the inaugural edition of the Warrior Classic.

Purdue University Northwest moved closer to completing the NCAA Division II membership process after the NCAA approved advancing the Pride into its third and final provisional year.
Purdue Northwest received notification from the NCAA Division II Membership Committee that the program successfully completed candidacy year two in 2017-18 and was recommended to advance to candidacy year three. #RoarPride
