Plummer Ties for 7th Overall after Second Round of GLIAC Championships

Battle Creek, Mich. – The Purdue University Northwest men’s golf team finished in fifth place at the GLIAC Championships on Saturday at Bedford Valley Country Club. The team had a total of 607 strokes after both rounds, shooting for a score of 300 on Saturday. 

Senior Jacob Plummer (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria Community) led the way for the Pride as he found himself in a tie for 7th place after finishing with a second-round score of 74.

Junior Chase Picken (Manito, Ill./Midwest Central) bounced back in round two, finishing the day tied for 20th place after ending the first round tied for 32nd.

Ryan Wells (Dyer, Ind./Lake Central) was not far behind as he ended the day tied for 23rd place with a total score of 154, finishing only one stroke behind his teammate.

Junior Brian Brzycki (Griffith, Ind./Griffith) had a strong second round as he found himself in a tie for 25th place after being in 38th place at the end of round one.
