LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Purdue University Calumet men's soccer fell to Viterbo, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon. The Peregrines fall to 3-7 overall with the loss.
Viterbo controlled possession throughout the contest, posting a 17-6 advantage on shots. The V-Hawks scored twice in the opening 10 minutes of the contest, before adding another tally in the 66th minute.
Purdue Calumet was able to find the scoreboard with Jawayne Spence's first career goal in the 85th minute, as the Hammond native punched in a nice feed from Djurica Bukur. Tom Spillman took the loss for the Black and Gold, falling to 2-7 on the season.
PUC will be back in action tomorrow, when it faces Muskegon CC in an exhibition match. Kick-off is scheduled for 12 p.m. CST.
