Pride Falls After Hard-Fought Game Against Truman

HAMMOND, Ind. & WESTVILLE, Ind. -- The Purdue University Northwest Men’s Soccer team fell late in a hard-fought game to the Truman State Bulldogs on Saturday, Septmeber 7 by a score of 2-1 during the annual PNW Fall Sports Festival at Dowling Park. The Pride jumped on the Bulldogs early with a goal from Mathew Bahena (Alsip, Ill./Eisenhower). In a back and forth game, the Pride lost their momentum late in the game with Truman State scoring twice in the remaining ten minutes of the contest. 

PNW took six shots on goal with one assist from Jules Cailliau (Koksijde, Belgium/ Atheneum Veurne) and two saves by Raul Garrido-Garcia/ Madrid, Spain Menesiano) throughout the 90-minute match. The Pride look to secure their first win of the season as GLIAC competition approaches.

Purdue Northwest Men’s Soccer will return to action on Monday, September 9th at the University of Illinois Springfield, beginning at noon (CT).
