HAMMOND, Ind. & WESTVILLE, Ind. - The Purdue University Northwest Athletics Department has surpassed its highest semester grade-point average with the Spring 2019 academic report. The Pride posted a new benchmark semester grade-point average of 3.30.

HAMMOND & WESTVILLE, Ind. – Purdue Northwest Athletics had plenty of its student-athletes recognized when the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced its All-Academic & All-Academic Excellence Teams on Thursday morning following the Spring 2019 semester. The Pride had many student-athletes across five spring teams (baseball, men’s and women’s golf, men’s tennis and softball) named to either the All-Academic or All-Academic Excellence Team.
SANDUSKY, Ohio. – Purdue Northwest softball concluded the 2019 season as they fell in a GLIAC Tournament Elimination game 3-0 to Saginaw Valley State. The Pride conclude the season with a 24-25 record, and finished 14-18 in conference play.
SANDUSKY, Ohio – Making its second consecutive appearance in the GLIAC Tournament, the Purdue Northwest softball team rallied to get a win after losing to start the day at Sports Force Park. Davenport took the win over PNW 4-1 in the Pride’s first game of the day, before they avenged it with a 6-4 win over Ashland.

Purdue Northwest Approved for Final Year of NCAA II Membership Process
Purdue University Northwest moved closer to completing the NCAA Division II membership process after the NCAA approved advancing the Pride into its third and final provisional year.
Purdue Northwest received notification from the NCAA Division II Membership Committee that the program successfully completed candidacy year two in 2017-18 and was recommended to advance to candidacy year three. #RoarPride
