Purdue Northwest Softball Travels to Westfield for Games After Schedule Changes

HAMMOND, Ind. & WESTVILLE, Ind. -- Weather changed the schedule for the Purdue University Northwest softball team this weekend as the Pride will not take part in the cancelled Midwest Region Crossover at University of Southern Indiana and will instead play four games this weekend at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind.


Purdue Northwest Athletics Achieves Academic Excellence

HAMMOND & WESTVILLE, Ind. – For the third straight semester, the Purdue University Northwest Athletics Department has surpassed its collective grade-point average when the Fall 2017 academic report was recently released. With over 200 PNW student-athletes contributing, the Pride posted a new benchmark semester grade-point average of 3.28.


Purdue Northwest Softball Opens 2018 Season with 6-4 Loss to UIndy

Westfield, Ind. – After trailing 4-0 in the fourth inning, the Purdue Northwest softball team fought back, but came up short in a 6-4 loss to University of Indianapolis in its season opener Saturday afternoon at Grant Park in Westfield, Ind. The Pride were also scheduled to play Rockhurst University (Mo.) following the UIndy match-up, but the game was cancelled due to snow.

HAMMOND, Ind. & WESTVILLE, Ind. -- The Purdue University Northwest softball team begins its season on the road Saturday as the Pride travel to Westfield, Ind., at Grand Park to take on the University of Indianapolis and Rockhurst University.


Purdue Northwest Softball Announces its 2019 Recruiting Class

HAMMOND & WESTVILLE, Ind. – Purdue Northwest softball coach Niki Stansell has announced the recent signings of five players for the 2018-19 season. All five incoming players will enter PNW as freshmen next fall. Two members of the incoming class hail from the state of Indiana with one coming from Michigan and two more from Illinois.


Purdue Northwest Softball To Host January Hitting/Pitching Camps

HAMMOND & WESTVILLE, Ind. - Purdue University Northwest softball coach Niki Stansell will host a series of hitting and pitching camps later this month. The hitting camps (two sessions) are scheduled to take place on Monday, January 15, at Triple Crown All Stars in Schererville. The pitching camp is slated for Sunday, January 28, at PNW’s Fitness & Recreation Center on its Hammond campus.

Hammond, Ind. & Westville, Ind. – First-year head coach Niki Stansell recently announced the 2018 schedule for the Purdue Northwest softball team on the PNW Athletics website at pnwathletics.com. The Pride open the season with three tournaments before kicking off Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play at Dowling Park in Hammond with a doubleheader against Saginaw Valley State University (Mich.).

Kesling Gymnasium at the James B. Dworkin Student Services & Activities Complex in Westville, Ind.


PNW Athletics To Host The Pride Spooktacular at Dowling Park on Oct. 30

Hammond, Ind. & Westville, Ind. – Partnering with Special Olympics of Lake County Indiana, the Purdue Northwest Athletics Department will host “The Pride Spooktacular” on Monday, October 30, at Dowling Park in Hammond, Ind. The special event runs from 4 to 6 p.m. and is open to the general public.
