Volleyball Defeated by Ashland in GLIAC Contest

HAMMOND, Ind. -- The Purdue Northwest volleyball team (1-13, 0-6 GLIAC) fell in a GLIAC contest Friday night against the Ashland Eagles (13-2, 6-0 GLIAC) in three sets.

The first set was tightly contested, with both sides making runs and playing hard. The Pride brought it to within 19-17 after a Jenna Pasko service ace. The Eagles took the next six points to win the first set 25-19, after an attack error from the Pride.

The second and third sets each ended in the same number, 25-22, as the Pride continued to bring an extraordinary energy level to the court. Ashland closed out the final point on a kill from Michaela Ping.

Jenna Pasko (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South) led the way for the Pride with nine kills and ten digs. Junior Eudora Negri (Munster, Ind./Munster) was tops on the team with 25 assists.

Next up, the Pride will head to the Westville campus as they host the Wayne State Warriors (8-6, 3-3 GLIAC) at 2 p.m. (CST).
