Volleyball Hosts Final Pair of GLIAC Matches This Weekend

HAMMOND, Ind. & WESTVILLE, Ind. -- The Purdue University Northwest women's volleyball team concludes their regular season this weekend as the team hosts a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conferences opponents.

The Davenport Panthers (13-13, 7-7 GLIAC) take on the Pride (3-24, 0-13 GLIAC) inside the H.D. Kesling Gymnasium at the James B. Dworkin Student Services and Activites Complex in Westville Friday.

On Saturday, the Grand Valley State Lakers (12-13, 5-9 GLIAC) *record as of Nov. 1* take on PNW at John Friend Court inside the Fitness and Recreation Center.

LAST TIME OUT
The Purdue University Northwest volleyball team fell to Ashland University in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference road match Saturday afternoon.

Senior Carissa Jones (Whiting, Ind./Bishop Noll) added five kills while Brooke Carter (Chicago, Ill./King College Prep) and Jenna Dal Santo (St. John, Ind./Andrean) both tallied four kills for the Black and Gold

Abigail Negri (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) tallied 17 assists and Casey Neulieb (Michigan City, Ind./Michigan City) recorded eight digs.  

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
Davenport is coming off a victory against Grand Valley State on Oct. 27. The Panthers are led by Jenn Kay Vander Meer, who has 249 kills this season.

SCOUTING THE LAKERS
GVSU will be coming off a match against Parkside on Nov. 2. The Lakers are led by Staci Brower, who has 285 kills. 

SERIES HISTORY VS DU
DU leads the all-time series, 3-0, as the Panthers defeated the Pride earlier this season. Senior Jenna Pasko (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South) led the way for the Pride with nine kills while Jones recorded eight kills and a .292 attack percentage.

SERIES HISTORY VS GVSU
GVSU leads the all-time series, 3-0, as the Lakers defeated PNW earlier this season. Jenna Dal Santo (St. John, Ind./Andrean) led the way with eight kills.
