HAMMOND, Ind. -- The Purdue University Northwest women's basketball team could not hold on to an early lead as the Pride suffered a loss at the John Friend Court inside the Fitness and Recreation Center against University of Indianapolis, 93-62, Saturday.

Sophomore Danielle Nennig (Wrightstown, Wis./Wrightstown) led the way with 15 points while sophomore Lanie Allen (East Noble, Ind./East Noble) added 13 points in the loss.

Freshman Molly DeValkenere (Milwaukee, Wis./Brookfield) hit a jumper to put PNW ahead 8-2 with Allen then putting the Pride ahead 13-8 after nailing a three-pointer in the first quarter.

After Indianapolis went on a run to go ahead 20-17 with 1:46 left in the first quarter, Allen hit another three to tie the game at 20-all.

PNW outscored Indianapolis 18-16 in the fourth quarter. Freshman Grace Ringel (South Elgin, Ill./Harvest Christian Academy) hit a jumper and Karissa Hucke (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) had a layup to end the game for PNW.
