PNW Falls to Greyhounds at Fall Sports Festival

HAMMOND, IND. & WESTVILLE, Ind. -– The Purdue Northwest women’s soccer team fell short against the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds, losing 4-1 on Saturday afternoon during PNW’s Fall Sports Festival at Dowling Park.

Sophomore Midfielder Reanna Soto (Merrillville, Ind./Merrillville) scored the first Pride goal of the season in the 42nd minute off an assist from sophomore Forward Haneen Abdulla (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) to tie the match 1-1 going into the half. Soto led the team by taking two of the Pride’s six shots on goal during the match.

Pride freshman Goalkeeper Bridget Grady (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln Way East) made seven saves in her 90 minutes of action.

The Pride will next take the field on Wednesday, September 11, at Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill. Kickoff of that match will be at 6 p.m. (CT).
